    In a 500°F degree oven? Forget worrying about cornmeal setting off a fire alarm. I've made this mistake before.
    Remember that paper burns at 451°F

  3. I came here because I didn't care for the last restaurant calzone I had. The holes in the top were too big and it came out flat. Also it was dry. You recommend an egg coating and others recommend olive oil. This undercooked one didn't appear to have either.

  4. I made my family calzones for dinner today and they turned out really good! I'm a vegetarian, so I swapped out the prosciutto and ham for sautéed portabella mushrooms, zucchini, and eggplant. Thanks for the recipe Chef John!
